Kristin & Chris
Sept. 27, 2008
Click Here to view the Debut Trailer of the wedding day.
We started the day very early making our way to Huchinson by 6:00 am to meet Kristin at O'Hairas salon where she and her bridesmaids were getting their hair and make-up done. Kristin was so excited that she didn't need any coffee to stay wide awake despite the early start. When someone asked her why she chose to have a morning wedding, she said it was because brunch was her favorite meal of the day and she wanted to have a brunch reception. While the girls were getting ready, Brett met the guys at Starbucks for breakfast & coffee. Chris was just as excited as Kristin and don't think he stopped smiling the entire day. Kristin's aunts and uncle had made and set up a wonderful breakfast buffet for the wedding party and family since they had to be at the church so early for pictures that was very much appreciated by all.
Kristin & Chris chose not to see each other before the ceremony but were able to send their wedding gifts to each other. Kristin's was a gratitude journal that she had been writing all the reasons she's grateful for Chris for the last few years. And Chris gave Kristin a large wooden jewelry box with a pair of diamond earrings. As beautiful as they were, it was the rest of the things he put in the box that made it so special - a note, picture and menu from their favorite restaurant.
The wedding was at Emanuel Lutheran Church and it was decorated beautifully with candelabras lining the aisle with two small glass bulbs filled with flowers hanging down and tied with ribbon. As beautiful as everything was from the flowers to the dresses, it was the music that made their ceremony so unique and special. Chris's sister Jeanne, brother-in-law Michael and their friend Rob were the most incredible musicians with a variety of instruments including the flute, keyboards, acoustic guitar, hammered dulcimer, marimba and bodhran (which is an Irish drum). Instead of the traditional procession, Kristin entered to "Come Thou Fount" b y Sara Groves. But, my most favorites song was when Kristin & Chris lit the unity candle to "I Am" by Nichole Nordeman. (If you have a chance to download this song - you'll love it - it's the perfect wedding song!)
After the wedding, we finished taking pictures at the church and then headed to Prairie Dunnes for the reception. The brunch buffet was incredible with the best strawberry cream cheese filled french toast! After the reception, we headed out on the golf course with Chris, Kristin and the wedding party to get some fun, informal shots. Then we headed to Dillon's nature center with Chris & Kristin to finish up with some pictures of the couple. We were so glad Kristin & Chris took the extra time with us to get some great shots that we wouldn't have time for if they hadn't planned it ahead of time. Thank you Kristin & Chris for including us in your day and for making us feel so welcomed. We had a great time documenting your day. We know you'll have a great time in Hawaii so when you get back and have a chance, you'll have to send us a link to your brother's Facebook page so we can check out his pics too. We got a real kick out of his excitement taking pics. We feel the same way when we shoot!
Congrats again & God Bless,
Cheryl & Brett

Renee & Adam
Click Here to view the Debut Trailer of the wedding day.
Sept. 14, 2008
We started the day by heading in opposite directions: Cheryl to the Hyatt to meet Rene and the girls as they had brunch and Brett to the Ark Valley Gun Club where Adam and the guys were skeet shooting. While the guys were still shooting, Rene and the girls headed to Lindsey's (one of Rene's friends and stylist) home where she has a salon. Once they were ready, the ladies all headed to Botanica to slip into their dresses and start with the pictures.
Since the garden area was still soaked from all the rain we received this week in Wichita, Rene & Adam chose to have the wedding on the patio where they had accents of their wedding colors, hot pink and black. The flowers were done by Stems, the bridesmaids carried hot pink Gerber daisies while Rene's bouquet was a beautiful mixed arrangement that was wrapped with material from her mom's wedding dress.
As the beautiful sound of the harp filled the cool evening, it was time for the ceremony to begin and Rene made her way down the long walkway to her anxious groom. Rene's brother, Chris and Adam's sister, Melissa, did the readings. Instead of a unity candle, the couple combined two colors of sand filled at the beginning of the ceremony by their mothers, to form their own unique design. It was a lovely garden ceremony and a beautiful night. Once we finished with the pictures, it was time for the dinner, catered by Corporate Caterers, followed by the first dances, and garter and bouquet tosses.
Rene & Adam, it is such an honor to now share the same anniversary date with you guys. We hope that the years fly by as fast for you as they have for us. Thank you again for the bottle of wine, it was a very thoughtful and much appreciated. Also, thank you to your families for helping us celebrate our anniversary as we shared your day with you - it meant a lot to us - thanks especially to Cynda & Dawn! Also, I had to give a shout out to Ashley, Rene's Bridal Assistant, for following us throughout Botanica to help keep Rene's dress looking beautiful. And as always, it was great working with Pat & Judy from Judy Hadley Productions who were doing the videography and Ron Brown with Another Dimension who was the DJ.
Congrats again Rene & Adam - we hope Sept. 14 is as good to you as it has been to us!

Andrea & Devin
Click Here to view the Debut Trailer of the wedding day.
We started the day meeting Andrea and the girls at Eric Fisher Salon where they were getting their hair done. Once the girls were ready, they headed to the Grand Chapel to finish getting ready. We had a little bit of time to take pictures of Devin with his family and the guys and Andrea with her family and bridesmaids before the ceremony began. Andrea & Devin's colors were burgandy and green with a wine theme, expressing their love for touring vineyards. The flowers were red roses and pink lilies done by Moore's Flowers. Andrea's bouquet included a small bunch of grapes and hydrangias.
As the wedding party entered the chapel and the ceremony began, Devin's uncle played the harp. The couple had two touching readings including a poem titled "Why Marriage" and one from "The Velveteen Rabbit". Once Andrea & Devin were pronounce Mr & Mrs, the guest exited the chapel and headed downstairs to the reception area while we finished up the pictures. Due to the heat & humidity, the couple chose not to go outside for pictures before heading downstairs where they were announced in by Andrea's brother who is a DJ with AMM.
The reception area was decorated with wine bottles and grape centerpieces that Andrea & Devin have collected on their travels. Dinner was served by Corporate Caters and the delicious cake with a different flavor for every layer was made the The Eaton's bakery. After dinner and slideshow, it was time for the dance to begin.
When one of the couple's friends told them what a beautiful couple they made, Devin replied with one the sweetest comments by saying, "She makes me look good!" it was obvious that Devin's statement came from his heart because he said it without hesitation. Andrea & Devin - it was such an honor to witness & document your day and love for each other. The quote on your program says it all, "Love knows no limit to its endurance, no end to its trust. Love still stands when all else has fallen" 1Corinthians 12:7-8 We don't need to tell you to have a great time in Hawaii but, we do wish you both the endurance of love!
Congratulations again!

Carla & Omero

Carla started her day at Spalon salon to have her hair and make-up done before heading to St. Mary's Cathedral where the rest of the girls where finishing getting ready. Carla & Omero's colors were platinum and pink with their ten bridesmaids wearing platinum gowns and carrying beautiful pink bouquets created by Susan's Flowers. The couple's daughter Daisy was the junior bridesmaid and wore a pink dress and carried a bouquet of pink gerber daisies.
The nuptial mass was officiated by Fr. Jerome Beat and after he announced the couple husband and wife, a mariachi band played as they exited the sanctuary. The band also played outside while the wedding guests lined the steps to blow bubbles at the couple as the made their way to the limo. After finishing the pictures in the church we headed to the Hyatt for the reception.
When we arrived at the grand eagle ballroom at the Hyatt, we were amazed by how incredible everything looked. There were amazing floral centerpieces by Susan's, a beautiful cake by Cheri's Bakery topped with a silver B, pink and platinum draped chairs with contrasting bows and a pink draped wall behind the raised head table. We were so glad that Carla & Omero had planned time for us to take outdoor pictures of them around the Hyatt. We were even able to head back outside for some sunset pictures with them after dinner.
Carla & Omero were announced into the reception by the Los Sandovalls De San Luis band. The band made all the announcements in spanish so were were grateful to one of Carla's bridesmaids who translated for us. One of the highlights of the reception was the unique way the couple started the bouquet and garter tosses. The single men & women formed "conga" type lines as the couple stood on chairs facing each other a few feet apart and being supported by their parents and maid of honor, Adele. Carla & Omero held a long ribbon that the lines ran under (the women first and then the men) as they made their way around the room and eventually ended surrounding the couple.
Carla & Omero thank you so much for allowing us to be part of your day. After 13 years together, we can only wish you many more happy years as husband and wife.
Thanks again & God Bless,
Brett & Cheryl
P. S. A special thanks to Adele & Drew for recommending us!
