This past Saturday, January 27, 2007 was a dream filled wedding. Stacy and Andy met each other online and found they had similar interests less than a year ago. Shortly after the pop of the question, Will you marry me?, Stacy started planning her wedding little bit here and there. She was very busy the last weekend in July 2006 when her mom encouraged that she ought to go to the Bridal Fair held at Century II to get ideas for her wedding. When brides arrived at Century II they all entered into a drawing for a grand price valued at $20,000. This includes a $10,000 Wedding package by Corporate Caterers, $3,000 Video Package by Handely Video Productions, $2,000 Photography Package by T&J Studios, $1,000 Bella Bridal Gown by Accent Bridal & Tux, $1,000 Music Package by Another Dimension, $1,000 Stainless Steal Package by Royal Prestige, $1,000 Decorating Package by Special Arrangements AND a $1,000 VEGAS VACTION by Air Capital Travel. After going she is glad she did because Stacy WON!!! She said that she couldn't believe it and thought it was a joke when she heard she won because she never wins anything. Many of these stories you see in the movies but it was real and happened to Stacy and Andy. The ceremony at St. Patrick's and reception was at The Scottish Rite. The entry to the reception was a grand entrance with the couple entering the ballroom down a huge staircase. The place was packed with around 300 guests that arrived to join in the fun and celebration of such a sweet couple.

It was great to work with a lot of the best vendors in town with all of us coming together to make Stacy and Andy's day the best it could be. We are glad you won and that we got the wonderful opportunity to work with you both.

A week ago Saturday Michelle and Casey exchanged vows, shed happy tears and enjoyed their wedding day with family and friends. Six inches of snow dropped during the preparation and celebration of their day. At 3 Elements Michelle, bridesmaids, flower girl and mother's got beautified with up do's and make up applied. Corporate Caterers supplied lunch including croissant sandwiches, chips and water. When we all went out to our cars to go to the church our cars had to be unburied from the snow. The weather didn't stop the emotions that they shared during the ceremony held at St. Luke Presbyterian. Following was the reception at The Exploration Place. Michelle darted to the warm reception hall running on her toes wearing wedding ballet slippers. Michelle was very excited to hear the DJ, Complete Music, play the snow ball dance. She ran to people and grabbed them out of their chairs to have them start dancing. The guests all enjoyed dancing the rest of the night with their partners. Jeff and Brett braved the outdoors to grab some shots of the outside looking inward to the reception festivity. They also were able to capture the couple through the glass while outside in ankle deep snow. The evening was filled with dancing and everybody enjoying the warm indoors. Thank you Michelle and Casey for letting us be a part of your day.

As we were checking our e-mails after an early wedding Oct. 7, 2006 Jeff and I received an information request while in our hotel room in Topeka. With it being relatively early we decided to call Jennifer Lane. After a very friendly conversation of 45 minutes we knew we clicked with her personality.

Later doing the engagement we got to finally meet the two of them in person. After documenting their fun, enthusiastic and drama personalities during their engagement session it was easy to capture their expressions and emotions.

On a very cold, snowy, sleet morning Jan. 13, 2007 Jenny arrived at JC Stylist ready to get started on her wedding day with a nice warm cup of coffee from QT. After leaving there I grabbed a ride with Steph from Fat Cat Productions (thank you, you the best) to slide carefully through town to the church.

Eastside Community Church was more of a lodge on the inside with big wood pillars and a beautifully lit fireplace where the couple kept warm during the ceremony. Jenny wore a strapless ivory dress with a long veil. The ceremony was very intimate with lots of tears of joy from them and their guests. Wonderful music was provided by a Christian group Nameless Faces (we photographed one of the band members weddings on Oct. 8th). Ironic, it was the day after we talked to Jenny on the phone for the first time. Crazy after looking back on events and how they have ties to others.

Thomas and Jenny had said that they wanted pictures taken outside when they had a previous consultation with us going over last minute details of their day. They braved the cold weather with her strapless dress and ice covered ground with sleet coming down all day. It let up long enough to grab some spins and capture some romance. (You guys are awesome to brave 12 degree weather!!!!!!). The grand exit from the church consisted of 2 long lines of guests standing outside with packets of fake snow that showered over Jenny and Thomas as their limo, The Excalibur, awaited them.

Thank you for letting us be a part of your fun filled day.

After 6 years of being together Jeremy and Karrie are a perfect couple. The talk of marriage was in conversation and they knew that they were going to get married at a later date but at the end of October 2006 Jeremy got the news he was going to be deployed to Iraq and leave January 13, 2007.

Karrie shared with us that she knew she had 2 months to plan a wedding and so she started by taking a trip to Hobby Lobby going down the aisles putting together ideas for decorations. The theme included snowflakes. There were cookies shaped as snowflakes, snowflakes frosted on the wedding cake and so on. She found her dress in Oklahoma and picked it up at Reni's Bridal. The Maggie Sottero wedding gown was crushed Grecian Satin with Rhapsody Taffeta, strapless neckline gown featuring full bustled skirt with corsage laced bodice and corset back. Faux, two-piece bodice is accented with a silvery ribbon sash. The bridesmaids wore black strapless sleek dresses with light turquoise sashes. One of the many highlights of the day was when Jeremy had a surprise gift for Karrie when they saw each other for the first time. Earlier in the bridal room Karrie was saying that she was contemplating which necklace to wear. Jeremy's gift happened to be a beautiful sterling silver chain with a diamond. It was a nice added sparkle to complete Karrie's ensemble. The couple shared smiles, tears of joy along with laughter towards one another during their ceremony and throughout the day. The couple left the church with guests sending them away blowing bubbles. They were walking so briskly one of the guests asked if they would re-exit. They turned around and walked back towards the church then they jetted running. It was a lot of fun. Thank you for the ride in the A-List limo guys.

With Jeremy an Air Force Fire Fighter they wanted some shots by the bright lime green fire truck. Then it was off to go inside to the party at the R.J. Dole Ballroom at the McConnell Airforce Base. Dinner plates were served with steak, green beans and herb sprinkled potatoes to all the guests. The evening was a very relaxed atmosphere for the couple to be able to spend with friends and family. Later in the evening one of the brides requested to the DJ a song to be played that was special to the couple, "Friends In Low Places" by Garth Brooks. In the lyrics instead of saying "I'm not big on social graces" he sings "I'm not big on Salsa flavors." Karrie was in awe... when Jeremy started singing special parts of the song through a microphone to her. Jeremy and Karrie, we want to thank you for choosing us to document your wedding day. You both were a pleasure to work with. We wish you both safe travels, Karrie to California and Jeremy to Iraq.
