David and Sarah

July 28 2007

Click Here to view the Debut Trailer of the wedding day.

What a fun wedding. Sarah began her day at Noell Shaw hair salon where she and the ladies all had their hair done for the day. After that it was off to Von Mar for make up, and then Bella Luna for a lunch. Mean while David was getting checked into the hotel, and then met the rest of the guys at the Alley for some bowling. After a few frames of bowling, it was off to the races as the guys managed to turn go kart racing into a mild version of bumber cars.

We all arrived at the church to begin the final stages of preparation. The ladies got into their dresses, as the men put on their tux's. Photos started with a private viewing where David was able to see Sarah in her dress for the first time. Then the formal portrait session started with all the wedding party and family.

The ceremony was very beautiful with the sun illuminating the stained glass window behind the couple. And as the guests were ushered out they all gathered outside the church for a bubble send off for the couple.

We left the church and made a quick stop at a local park for a few more photos then it was off to the Hyatt and the reception. Ron (the DJ) was waiting as we arrived, and announced the couple into the ball room. After dinner we went back out side for a few more photos at sunset, then it was time to start the reception in earnest. It was a really fun dance. And as we were preparing to wind down the evening, the baseball game across the street ended and the fire works began. David, Sarah and I ventured outside one last time for a few shots of the couple at evenings end with a fireworks show in the background.

Thanks again, to David and Sarah and all their friends and family who made this event so much fun to be a part of

Melissa started her day bright and early at 9 a.m. at Elements Salon with five bridesmaids, the flowergirl, her mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

When she was finished with hair and makeup she arrived at The Grand Chapel shortly after 11 to finish getting ready in the Bride's room. On the other side of the wall of her room was her groom, Jace, getting ready in the groom's dressing room. They had chosen to see each other to get all the pictures done before the wedding and around noon the moment arrived. We were able to get some great pictures of the two of them and their families.

The ceremony started at 3:00. It was a beautiful ceremony despite the fact that it was sweltering hot and people were fanning themselves with the programs. Melissa and Jace exchanged vows that they had written for one another. Melissa and Jace both shared some happy tears of joy during their vows. After the ceremony Melissa and Jace were showered with bubbles as they approached their Executive white stretched limos to take them to the reception at the Scottish Rite. On the way to the Scottish Rite we grabbed some shots of Melissa and Jace on the bridge in Riverside Park near the Castle Inn Riverside where they were staying for the night.

Melissa and Jace were announced at the reception by Steve Walsh with Advanced DJ Service as they and the wedding party came down the grand staircase. Melissa and Jace got things started by cutting the cake. The "groom's cake" was little iced cupcakes with a chocolate candy bar on top. If some guests chose to take a cupcake home or may not have had room for it after dinner they could take it with them in a to-go box with Melissa and Jace's name and wedding date imprinted on it. The food was catered by Corporate Caterers and the video of the day was captured by Fat Cat Productions.

Shortly after Melissa and Jace had gone through the buffet style line of fabulous food, an Uncle of Jace's called from Milan, Italy to wish Melissa and Jace congratulations on their marriage. The phone call came in and Steve Walsh connected it to the microphone so the whole ballroom could hear. It was a great surprise! After dinner Melissa and Jace danced to "First Day of My Life" by Bright Eyes. The formal dances- the father/daughter and mother/son dance and the garter and bouquet toss. Melissa had informed us that she had provided the DJ with a list and CD of songs for him to play. Early in the day Melissa told me that she wish she would have included some songs that weren't her favorite so she would give herself a break from dancing! She danced literally all night long with Jace, family and friends. Everybody had a great time.

Jace and Melissa, thank you so much for hiring us to document your wedding day. You guys are one of the sweetest couples that we have met and we had a blast!

Thanks again,

Tyff and Jeff

Ally is Stephanie's sister, from over at Fat Cat Productions, and with a last name as Shay one can only make the guaranteed assumption that the day would be fun. Ally is a very bubbly and fun person. She started at Hair Perfections for an updo. Then she was off for make up over at Sola Salons. With no time to spare and on schedule she darted over to Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton to get into her dress. The four bridesmaids wore strapless red dresses gathered at the waist and swooped to one side with a jewell on the hip. Ally wore a strapless princess dress with the boddess covered in bead work and many layers of tulle to the skirting.

As a surprise and gift to Ally her bridesmaids and other friends had given her a night in The Castle Inn Riverside. This was to polish off the princess fairytale relationship that she has had with Aaron, her prince. Ally and Aaron met through mutual friends and talked a lot on the phone. They became really good friends and started a long distance relationship over the phone. So their dating relationship started before they even met.

The ceremony was gorgeous with three of the four groomsmen in their Dress Blue US Marine uniforms and Aaron in his Dress Blues as well but with a sword he wore on his hip. Afterwards a Rolls Royce limo by Executive Limo Service picked them up and drove them to their reception that was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall. As soon as they were announced by Sott Ward
with Accent Mobile Music DJ Service Ally and Aaron went over and cut their cake with the sword that Aaron carried all day. Then they rolled right into the rest of the formal events including their first dance Kenny Chesney's song "You Had Me From Hello" and the father/daugher dance, garter and bouquet toss.

Aaron and Ally we want to congratulate both of you on your marriage and you both were a lot of fun to work with on your wedding day.

After being booked with us almost a year ago, Shanna and Trent got married today July 21, 2007 in McPherson at Countryside Covenant Church. Shanna and Trent are the second couple that came to our studio and booked with us as their photographers before being engaged. This is in itself very humbling and rewarding. As soon as Shanna and Trent were engaged we got the exciting call from Shanna so enthusiastic and wanted to book their engagement session.

The day started early with Trent golfing with his buddies at 6 a.m. on Turkey Creek Golf Course. While Jeff documented the guys on the golf course Trent shared an interesting fact about their rings. He said that they had purchased their rings at B.C. Clark Jewelers based out of Oklahoma City. The promotion the company offers that if you buy an engagement ring at B.C. Clark Jewelers and it rains an inch or more in Oklahoma City between midnight to midnight on the wedding day the jewelers pay for the ring up to $5,000!!! Unfortunately, it didn't work out for Shanna and Trent to have their engagement rings for free because it didn't rain as they prayed and hoped for.

Shanna started at Creative Hair Lines at 8 a.m. with her ladies. While at the salon Shanna shared with me how excited she was to see Trent (then she would giggle). She explained how she had written letters to her "future husband" since she was a freshman in High School. Then she had been writing to Trent since they started dating 2 years ago. Her wedding gift to Trent was a journal where she had re-written all these letters inside.

Shanna wore a beautiful white halter top chiffon wedding gown with white ribbon across the boddess and along the floor. Satin buttons lined from the middle of her dress all the way down the train. Shanna wanted to make sure that she was comfortable by wearing white Nike running shoes with air cushion soles. Shanna's bridesmaids wore aqua blue halter top with a thin black ribbon under the boddess and black T-length skirts.

Shanna and Trent decided to see each other at 10:30 a.m. before the ceremony and get all the pictures done beforehand. We captured their happy tears as they saw each other for the first time. They also had scheduled in their day to have an hour of time to go around downtown McPherson for just the two of them. We then headed back to the church to finish up the formals with the family and wedding party. At 2:00 Pastor Jon Black performed their ceremony with a beautiful message. Afterwards guests were ushered out to the foyer of the church to a receiving line that gave Shanna, Trent and their parents a chance to thank them for coming. The guests were then handed a balloon to release as Shanna and Trent left the church to get in a red T-top Camaro. We were also able to grab some shots of Shanna and Trent on a farm that was across from the church with a red barn and them swinging in old wooden swings. Then on the way to the reception, which was held at The Red Coach Inn, Shanna and Trent wanted to stop at one more location at the Turkey Creek Golf Course where Trent is the manager at. Then it was ready to hed to the reception for cake and punch.

Shanna and Trent, we want to thank you so much for first off believing in us so much to book before you guys were in engaged. You guys are truly very sweet and were a pleasure to work with on the wedding day. You will have to share pictures of your trip to the Cancun area for your honeymoon when you get back. Keep in touch and God Bless!

What a wonderful day and a wonderful wedding. It is always such a treat to be able to work with a family we have worked with in the past.

Our day began with a drive to McPherson to meet Rachelle and her brides maids at the Bello Capelli Salon & Spa, where they had their hair done for the day. While Rachelle was sitting in the nice air conditioned salon getting there hair done, Josh and the guys decided a trip to the park for friendly game of wiffle ball would be a great way to start the day.

After that it was off to the church to get into tux's and dresses. As soon as both were ready, we all headed to the sanctuary where Josh was able to see Rachelle for the first time in her wedding dress. It was a very touching moment. Photos followed, first of the couple and then the wedding party and family.

Finally the moment for the ceremony arrived. The candles were lit, the family was seated and then a wedding video documenting the lives of the couple was played. Once the video was over, the wedding party entered the sanctuary to the tune of "Through the Eyes of Love". The moment had arrived. "You Light Up My Life" began to be played and the guests all stood as Rachelle was escorted down the aisle by her father.

It was a beautiful ceremony, the grandfathers each read the scripture passages that were chosen by the couple, vows were taken, rings exchanged, and the unity candle lit. The immediate family all gathered on the altar for a moment of prayer before the couple was pronounced husband and wife, kissed and danced down the aisle. The couple came back down aisle to greet each guest as they left the church. The guests gathered out side to shower the couple with rice and they made their way to the limo.

A quick stop at the park for some photographs then to the reception for dinner and dancing. The cake was cut and toasts were given then the dance began. Josh and Rachelle shared their first dance as husband and wife, and then danced with the parents. Following the dollar dance was the boquet and garter toss. As the evening wound down, Josh and Rachelle left the reception to a showering of sparks from the sparklers. It was a very memorable wedding.

Many thanks to all the family and friends who made this event such a joy to be a part of.
Best wishes Josh and Rachelle

Explosion in V.C.

As most of you have heard, a chemical plant in our town exploded on Tuesday morning in Valley Center. The plant is less than a mile from the studio, so we were evacuated with the rest of the town. We were allowed back into the studio early Thursday morning.

Everyone is safe and the studio was not effected by the blast, but because we've not been able to work on editting for 2 days, we are a little behind on getting sessions online. Please know that we are doing everything possible to get back on schedule.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

July 14, 2007 started with Sarah getting her hair done at Cheveaux by Crystal. Sarah was excited to have her hair done because the practice session went so well. Afterwards Sarah and her mom drove to St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Schulte, KS to do some decorating and start getting ready for pictures. In fear of Mark seeing Sarah before the ceremony he got ready in a closet because there was a window in the groom's room.

As Sarah's dad escorted her down the aisle Mark's face lit up and was all smiles as it was the first time he saw his stunning bride. The ladies wore tea-length pool blue Dresses and Sarah made sure she had her old, new, borrowed and blue. Her old was a handkerchief of her grandmother's. After the beautiful ceremony we finished up pictures with family and took Mark and Sarah around to different locations around the church. Then it was time for Mark and Sarah to be announced by All World Entertainment DJ Service at their reception held in the school cafeteria. Mark and Sarah cut the cake first so they could have their receiving line when family and friends went up to get a piece of cake. Dinner followed, which was catered and served by Syl's from Colwich, KS. Then Mark and Sarah had their first dance as husband and wife. Sarah danced with her dad and Mark with his mom. Guests were then all invited on the dance floor to join in. Let's just say that the Truman's and Holliday's really know how to dance and have a good time.

We want to thank Sarah and Mark for allowing us be a part of your special day together and document your memories!

Alex and Taryn July 14

Taryn and the ladies began the day and Taryn's work, Charisma salon, where they had their hair and make up done. After a quick stop at McDonalds it was off to the church to get into the dresses and get ready for photos. Mean while, the guys were getting ready at their respective homes and Taryns dad was enjoying a morning of fishing. Alex arrived at the church in his white tux and pink vest and was immediatley greeted by his precious daughter in her white dress. After spending a few intimate moments with his daughter, Alex greeted his groomsmen as they finished putting on their ties, cufflinks and flowers.

Finally it was time for Alex to see his beautiful bride for the first time in her dress. After a touching moment together, we began with the formal photos. The ceremony followed. It was a traditional wedding and mass, with a devotion to Mary.
After the ceremony, the bridal party loaded into a limo and headed off to the Petroleum Club for the reception. Upon being announced into the reception, the couple went over to cut the cake. Toasts were given by the best man and maid of honor then the couple took some time to eat.

Once dinner was finished, it was time for the garter / boquet toss. The couples first dance was next followed by parents dances. Then the party began. It was a great night, Alex and Taryn spent most of the time on the dance floor dancing with their friends and family and having a wonderful time.

We are very fortunate to have been able to share this special day with Alex and Taryn, thank you to all the friends and family who helped make this such a memorable day.

Best wishes guys, and thank you

The date of the triple 7's started 8 a.m. as Jeff documented Daniel and his groomsmen at Craig Allen's Men's Grooming Salon . This is where Daniel got pampered including facial, hair cut, manicure and a 30-minute massage. Niki and her flower-girl, Lauren, started the day getting their hair done at Progressions Salon and Day Spa. Niki's mom, Debbie, was at the salon for support and to spend the day with her daughter, Niki. Niki had the stylist curl all her hair and put half up and half down. She wore a beautiful tiara with a floor length veil. Lauren wore a similar tiara and had her hair all in tight little curls. Lauren did a good job being Niki's personal assistant carrying the veil from the salon to the church making sure that it wouldn't drag or touch the ground. Niki and 6 of her bridesmaids got ready at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. The colors were black and hot pink and the flowers were different shades of pink roses. The ceremony was a full mass and Niki looked absolutely stunning as she walked down the aisle escorted by her dad, David, to Daniel for the first time. Following the ceremony we finished up pictures with family, wedding party and of Niki and Daniel. On the way to the reception held at Corporate Caters Jeff grabbed a few pictures at Sedgwick County Park by the fishing dock.

The first 45 minutes of the reception gave Niki and Daniel a chance to go around and thank all their guests for coming and to mingle with friends and family. Then it was time to cut the wedding cake and groom's cake. The groom's cake was in the shape of a Cuban cigar. After dinner Niki and Daniel had their first dance which was choreographed and they had practiced prior to the wedding. At the end of the song Daniel dipped his new bride Niki. Daniel had quite the show to perform for the guests, as when it was about time to do the toasts, he had a sword and used it to pop off the corks of the Cook's bottles of champagne. This is a French tradition. Before the reception was over Daniel announced that he had cigars he had purchased to smoke with anyone that wanted to participate. One of the grandmas even tried one!

On what is believed to be the luckiest day of the century, Jonathan and Julie pledged their undying love to each other and became husband and wife.

The day began with the girls meeting at Julie's house to get their hair done, then it was off to Dillards to the Mac counter for make up. Once make up was done it was off to the Hyatt to check into the Presidential suite and get ready for the ceremony. While the ladies were getting make up done, the guys met at Saigon Restaurant for lunch and then to the Hyatt to get into their tux's.

Once everyone was dressed and ready, Jonathan went out by the fountain to await his beautiful bride. It was a very special moment and Julie approached Jonathan and he turned around to see her for the first time in her dress. After a few moments together, it was off for photos around the hotel. After a photo session with the bridal party and family, the couple retired to their respective rooms for last minute touch up and to get ready for the ceremony. Julie anxiously watched from her 17th floor window as the security guard tried to clear the fountains of swimmers.

Finally at 7 pm the moment arrived and Julie was escorted by her father along the fountains and through the guests to her awaiting groom. The ceremony was beautifully staged along the river and the setting sun. After an exchange of vows and rings the couple ventured up to the unity candle, where in spite of the breeze they were able to get it lit. They were then pronounced husband and wife and after a passionate kiss exited the ceremony location to go to the reception.

The parents and bridal party were announced into the reception followed by the bride and groom, upon entering the room they went to the cake table to cut the cake and feed each other their first treats as a married couple. Dinner followed with toasts by the best man, Jonathan's brother Jeremy and Maid of Honor, Jenna. Not to be out done the rest of the groomsmen each took a turn with a short story about Jonathan.

We took a quick break from dinner and went outside to take a few photos of the couple along the river at sunset. When we came back into the reception the dancing started with the traditional first dance and parents dance. This was followed by the garter / bouquet toss and then the dollar dance.

We all had a really great time working with Jonathan and Julie and their friends and family. It truly was a very memorable day and we are very pleased to have been able to share it with them.

Best Wishes
Brett, Cheryl and Netanya

Emily and Dan really pulled their wedding day together in 25 hours. For those that aren't family or friends of Emily and Dan are probably asking what do you mean? Well, we got a call from Dan on Thursday about their wedding location was re-located from Bartlett Arboretum in Bell Plaine to The Botanical Gardens in Wichita. With some phone calls to all their vendors and guests really won them a day of relaxation today to be able to relax and have a wonderful time with friends and family to join in on their special day.

Emily and her mom got their hair done at Studio Amp inside of Sola Salons. It was nice to see a previous bride, parents and also a future groom today. While we were at the salon the stylist next to Emily's had a client coming in, Justin. After he showed up both Jeff and I were excited to say that it was the same groom Justin and his bride Cortney that we are photographing in December. One of Emily's bridesmaids, Mary, we photographed her and Kristopher's wedding a year ago July 7. And then Emily's aunt and uncle, who's daughter Julia, we photographed a wedding for June 30, 2006. It is always nice to meet new faces but also is still fun and humbling to run into familiar faces as well.

While at the salon Dan stopped by and pulled Jeff to the side to tell him that he was giving Emily a pair of earrings to her as a surprise and that he had put them in a box in her make-up bag. After Emily finished at the salon she headed home to put her make-up on. When asking her if she wanted that documented she first said no, that is okay. We told her that if we could just document a couple of shots then we would head on to Botanica. She progressed to put on her make-up and saw the box and couldn't believe her eyes that the earrings were real. Then it all made since why we insisted to come over for a few shots.

Emily's colors were chocolate brown with blush light pink. Emily's dress was a Christina Wu blush pink strapless. She looked absolutely stunning standing beside Dan in a brown stripped tux with pink vest.

The couple's ceremony was very gorgeous with the water fountain in the background. During the ceremony both Emily and Dan wanted to express to one another that they are willing to be servants to each other during their marriage. They expressed this by washing each other feet.

After the ceremony the guests went into the air-conditioning building at Botanica for the reception. After eating some dinner Emily and Dan had a chance to go around to all the tables greeting and thanking all their guests for coming to their celebration. We were able to grab some shots before leaving of Emily and Dan at sunset on the near by golf course, Sim Park.

Thanks guys for allowing us to be the photographers that you chose to document your day and giving us the ultimate compliment and changing your date so that we could have the pleasure to follow you guys around for a day.
