Tammy and her bridesmaids, her mom, her daughter, Jace's mom, and her friends started out at Panara for breakfast. They laughed and relaxed over coffee and bagels while Jace and his Groomsmen and friends did the same at Cracker Barrel. Jace and the guys went their separate ways and got ready. Tammy and the lady's went a couple doors down from Panara to Tips and Toes where her sisters, daughter, mom and even Jace's mom got pedicures and manicures. They all got matching flowers on their toes. Tammy and her friend, a brides maid, already had theirs done. After everyone was set getting their nails done Tammy and her friend snuck off to run some errands. They first stopped at Wal-Mart to get some essentials like protein bars and bottled water. After Wal-Mart they went to the bridal shop to pick up their dresses and for her bridesmaid to try hers on once more. After errands they went to the Broadview hotel to finish getting ready. Tammy's younger sister and hairdresser Tiffany did the lady's hair and makeup. Everyone who was finished headed over to the church in the limo while Tammy and her little sister finished getting ready. It was raining pretty bad that day so after hair and makeup was finished Tammy and her sister decided to wait till they got to the church to get into their dresses.
The ceremony was at St. Mary's Cathedral. It was a very pretty, simple ceremony that went smoothly. After the ceremony was over we (Brett and Netanya) finished the group pictures.
The reception was held at the Tanganyika wild life park where the couple was surrounded by their friends and family. Tammy had a very elegant four tier cake and Jace had a life like tackle box cake. After cake the couple had their first dance together and then the parent dances. They had a live band called Big Fat Fun that sang all the songs and played the music. After the dances the matron of honor repeated her speech that she gave at the ceremony and two of Jace's close friends gave speeches also. After a few more dances everyone was gathered up for the garter / bouquet toss. Tammy's younger sister caught the bouquet and a boy from the audience caught the garter.
Overall the day was a ton of fun and we thank you Tammy and Jace for letting us document your day and the best of luck to the two of you.

Melissa and her bridesmaids, mother, and mother-in-law hung out in McPherson at Creative Hairlines to they get their hair and make-up done before heading to First Congregational Church in Hutchinson, Kansas. Melissa's beautician had done her hair for a long time and gave Melissa a gift consisting of a special mixed foundation.

While Tyffany and Netanya were documenting the ladies in McPherson Jeff was documenting Brian and the guys at Craig Allen's, a men's salon. Brian had his face wrapped in a hot towel, nails done and smoked a cigar in the cigar lounge with his future father-in-law, Greg. As the ladies arrived at the church they got to see their bouquets that included red Hawaiian Anthuriums as the main focus with a splash of lime green foliage. Melissa got ready in the same bride's room as her mom had exactly 34 years to the day of Melissa's wedding day.

Melissa had a beautiful Maggie Sottero wedding dress with cap sleeves and a floor length veil. The bridesmaids wore red strapless dresses with red and white polka dotted Betty Boop shoes. When we traveled to Kansas City to do Melissa and Brian's engagement session they invited us into their apartment and it was evident that Melissa loves Betty Boop so it was a bonus to find such shoes for her 6 bridesmaids to wear. Before the ceremony Melissa had some socks that said "Cold Feet" and she wanted to be sure she had a fun picture with them. Netanya and Tyffany had her go into the chapel, near the bride's room, and sit backwards in the pew with her feet propped up over the pew and shot back against the cross in the background. It made for a cute shot as you will see in the debut. Pastor Richard traveled from Colorado Springs to marry Melissa and Brian. Pastor Richard was Melissa's pastor as she was a little girl growing up and so Melissa was very honored to have him come perform the ceremony. After the wedding Melissa and Brian ushered their guests out of the pews before coming back to the front of the church for more pictures of the two of them, family and wedding party. Then it was time to head to Prairie Dunes Country Club for the reception.

We were able to grab a few pics of Melissa and Brian and the wedding party on the greens. The reception was absolutely gorgeous for guests to gather and have quite the fun time. The groom's cake consisted of a mountain and toy Jeeps amongst a forest of trees. It was definitely a surprise to guests when the DJ started playing "I'm too Sexy" and Melissa's dad, brother and friend started dancing taking their tuxedo coats off to reveal that they had white collared shirts with wild patterned sleeves underneath. It was one of many highlights that occurred. Before the end of the reception it was time for Brian to cut his groom's cake, the Best man even helped.

The newleyweds fed each-other smearing icing all over each other's faces. Brian knew then it would make for a great kiss with his new bride. He ran over and kissed Melissa sharing some of the icing that was on his face. Before leaving we had the chance to say, "See you in a month," to one of our future brides that was Melissa's maid-of-honor, Becky, who is getting married August 3, 2007.
We want to say that we had an absolute blast of a time and can't wait to see you guys again soon at Becky's wedding. And if things get sad or troubled just remember the turtle story. We love you guys and you are great!

The day started off with a trip to Eric Fisher Salon for the ladies to get their hair done, followed by a trip next door to get the nails done. While the ladies were at the salons, the men went to All Star sports for a few rounds in the batting cages and then a couple laps in the go carts. From there we went to the church where Erica and the ladies had their make up done and got into their dresses while the gentlemen put on their tuxedos. The photos started with a private viewing where Josh saw Erica in her dress for the first time before we began with the formal and group portraits.
The ceremony was truly a family affair, the celebration was officiated by Josh's dad. Josh's brother was the best man and Erica's sister was the matron of honor. After the ceremony, the bride and groom left the church to a shower of bubbles, and it was off to the park for more photos. After leaving the park we made one more quick stop down town to take some photos by one of the statues.
Arriving at the Garvey Center, the couple was announced into the reception by Jeff of Complete Music. The reception started with a game to test the wedding party's knowledge about the couple followed by dinner. After dinner is was more games, cake cutting and of course the toast.
The dance began with the couples first dance followed by parent dances and then the snow ball. After a few more dances the couple had a dollar dance to help send them on their honeymoon.
Congratulations Josh and Erica, and thank you so much for allowing us to participate in your special day.

Today started with Ashley getting her hair done 9 a.m. at Progressions Salon & Day Spa with her mom, six of her bridesmaids, and a friend who was a reader during the ceremony. Then they all piled into a white van to travel to the East side of town where they all got their make-up done. Once they arrived at Dillard's they all split up and went to different make-up counters. Ashley got hers done at the MAC Counter and others were at either the Clinique, Origins, or Prescriptives Counters. Then a little before noon we headed to the church where Adam arrived to get ready and Ashley showed up shortly after. As I waited I had a little time to grab a few shots of Ashley's beautiful, timeless dress she found at Reni's Bridal Boutique. As Ashley came in the bridal parlor a gift from Adam awaited her in a long skinny black jewelry box. It was a bracelet made of pearls with diamonds as the clasps he had picked out from Zales. Ashley's gift to Adam was a silver money clip from Tiffany's with his initials engraved on it.
Ashley and Adam's colors were bright red and lime green and their flowers were green Hydrangeas and orchids.
The ceremony was gorgeous with a foam backed white runner that lined the long aisle. Before guests were seated the runner was pinned in place and red and white petals were evenly dropped on either side of the runner.
Ashley's dad, Dave, escorted her down the aisle to give her away to Adam. Adam was all smiles to see his absolutely stunning bride for the first time. After the ceremony guests were handed a handful of white rose petals to shower over the couple as they headed through the parted sea of people to the white stretched Excursion limousine. The couple drove around the block and came back for more pictures with family and the two of them. Before heading to the reception they wanted pictures in a park and with urban brick buildings. We went to a park in Old Town to shoot and down an alley for some fun shots. Then one shot that Ashley definitely knew she wanted was the bridal party lined up walking towards the camera in the street. We were able to get out in the middle of Douglas street when cars weren't coming. When we came to the intersection the light turned green but we kept walking and they laughed and had a great time. This made for some really cool shots and probably got some laughs and smiles for the people in the cars as they waited. After the photo session it was time to head to the reception that was held at Adam's parents house in the country near Hillsboro, Kansas.
Everyone gathered under a huge white tent that overlooked a beautiful pond. As the evening got darker Ashley and Adam wanted pictures on Adam's Harley Davidson driving away. Deanna and Jason with Today for Tomorrow Videography had Adam rev his bike's engine to work into their video later. Then shortly after we heard a big boom that started the light show of fireworks that were shot off over the pond. Jeff got some killer shots of Ashley and Adam as they watched the fireworks.
Adam and Ashley, we want to thank you for allowing us to document your wedding as the "poppies" that we were nicknamed at the salon by the bridesmaids and was carried through the day. We had a great time and we hope you have a blast at the Sandal's Resort for your honeymoon. Take pictures because we want to see them when you get back!

Yesterday was a destination wedding in Dodge City, KS. We booked Kim and Kyle at a Bridal Fair in Wichita, KS at Century II little over a year and half ago. They picked their wedding date to be June 16 because it was their anniversary for being together as a couple. Yesterday marked their four years of being together. The wedding was very pretty with turquoise and lime green as their main colors with a splash of pumpkin orange and canary yellow used in the flowers. Kim's dress was cream with gold stitching on the boddess and the side split with lace and detailed stitching. Kim's mom, Tina, was a crafty creative mom who made all the bridesmaids, candle lighters dresses, and stitched jewels on Kim's train in the shape of a palm tree. This was something special that Tina did for Kim that Kim was greatly surprised to see when she helped Kim in her wedding dress. Palm trees was something that Kim loves. The theme was carried into the reception with paint cans punched out on the sides in the shape of palm trees and lit up palm trees in the corners of the reception hall that was held at the Dodge House Hotel. Tina had also made the wedding cake with sea shells that lined the outside of the cake and the tiered grooms cake which was chocolate with chocolate frosting and brilliant plump red strawberries. The ceremony was performed at The Lady of Guadeloupe Catholic Church and was a very beautiful occasion that brought family together from all over.
Thank you for booking us as your photographer and we wish you many happy years together.

The day started off a little bit rocky, Jessica forgot her slip at home, but mom ran home to get it and the rest of the day was a synch.
Jessica arrived at St. Joe Catholic church around noon to finish getting ready. She already had her hair and makeup done before she arrived at the church. Her matron of honor, Courtney, helped her slip into her dress while Greg got ready down stairs. After Jessica and Greg finished getting ready they saw each other for the first time that day. They did their "best friends" hand shake and had a moment alone.
The ceremony went great. We were able to get some interesting angles. Jessica and Greg were a little teary eyed but the mood was lightened by the Fr. Weldon, who was cracking jokes. After the ceremony they were greeted by a sea of people and bubbles as they exited the church.
After the bus arrived to take the couple and the bridal party to the reception the whole party went straight to McDonalds for a snack. They also made a few more pit stops to pick up more beverages because it was extremely HOT on the bus. They may have not picked up water or soda, but they certainly cooled down and had a ton of fun.
The reception was at the Airport Hilton hotel and was very nice. Jessica and Greg had two bars set aside and food catered in for their guests. The couple also had a gorgeous four tier cake and a chocolate United States Navy grooms cake. The grooms cake was certainly a hit with the kids, for they kept sampling it before it was cut. The guests were pulled in on the fun when the dj set up the wedding survivor game. Jessica and Greg pulled people out of the wedding party as well as from the crowd to play. The contestants were sent out into the crowd to receive a specific item and then they had to return to a chair, kind of like musical chairs. Everyone got really into the game and especially when it got down to the wire. When the last two contestants, usher Brandon and Maid of honor Courtney, were racing back to the chair an audience member deiced to take the odds of the game into her own hands and tackled Brandon. In the end no one was hurt and Brandon won a koozie. The guests were also encouraged to participate in the dollar dance which helped the couple raise I think over 1,300 for their honeymoon in Aruba. The evening ended with the couple taking a plunge into the Hotel Pool.
Jessica and Greg were very fun couple and we thank you again for letting us spend the day with you! Best of luck in Virginia and we hope that your friends and family who are over seas right now returns home safe!

Alia started her day 6.9.07 at Eric Fisher Salon West with her mom and her three bridesmaids. They then traveled to the East for make-up in Dillard's at the MAC Counter. Alia put on her dress at the church, Olivet Baptist. Allia's bridesmaids wore chocolate brown V-neck dresses and the flower-girl wore a white dress with a matching brown sash that tied in a bow. Alia and Chris had chose to see each other and got all the pictures done before the ceremony. At the beginning of the ceremony the couple had a slideshow of them to show to their guest before Alia came down the aisle. The slideshow consisted of baby pictures of Alia and Chris and it progressed with older pics of them up to now with the two of them together. After the ceremony Alia and Chris allotted time to have more pictures done of the two of them going around different locations in Old Town Wichita, KS. The reception was held at the Petroleum Club. The groom's cake was chocolate frosting with a KU Jayhawk on it. The food was chicken fingers, 7-layer dip, fruit, barbecue meatballs and kabobs. The kids had fun playing in the chocolate fountain throughout the evening. Before leaving that evening Alia changed into another dress to be sent away with her new groom as guests showered them with bubbles leaving the dance floor. As we were there it was nice to see two previous brides of ours. It was a fun time to document the wedding of Alia and Chris and see familiar faces like Stacy and Adam and Courtney and Andrew that we had documented in the previous years.
Thank you for allowing us to document your day.
