Stacy started her wedding day at Salon Bella to get her hair done and then traveled over to Eric Fisher East to do her make-up. Following her make-up and after grabbing a bite for lunch at McAllisters she drove to the church where she met up with her bridesmaids. Stacy did most of her planning online via E-Bay, e-mail and phone to get all the details organized and they fell into place nicely. Online and phone was the best communication with Stacy and Luke to plan their wedding being that they live in Georgia and a lot of Luke's family was from Kentucky. With that being said and when they set their wedding date for May 5th they didn't even think of it being the 133rd Kentucky Derby. Stacy and Luke knew that May 5th was the best date to work out for their wedding, so they made sure they incorporated the Kentucky Derby in the wedding reception. They had the tables labeled with different horses' names that were in the Derby and table #7 ended up being the lucky table, Street Sense! Luke's side of the family stayed posted to how the Kentucky Derby was going throughout the day and kept up on how the horses were doing.

However, the ceremony started at 5:00 and the race started at 5:04. The ceremony was very elegantly performed by Luke's uncle, Dr. Dwight Moody from out of state, and the home church minister at Plymouth Congregational. Stacy used to sing in the Maize High School choir and had kept in touch with the director. She had the whole Maize High School choir sing a few songs in the balcony during the ceremony. Because Stacy has been away to college in Georgia for 8 years her and Luke had grew accustomed to the limestone and old architecture. This is why they chose Plymouth. It was absolutely gorgeous. Stacy and Luke also wanted to make it special for their guests during communion by handing it out themselves to all their friends and family that attended the wedding.

After the wedding Stacy and Luke had rented a trolley to go around to different locations of Wichita to get some urban photos taken as they traveled to the reception which was held at Rolling Hills Country Club. Before being announced at the reception, Jeff was able to grab a few shots of the wedding party on the golf course. Stacy and Luke, with their parents at their side, lined up to have a receiving line as the guests moved from the cocktail hour to the main ball room to start dinner with a salad and garlic bread. The reception consisted of Stacy and Luke getting the chance to say hi to everyone, cake cutting, first dance, father daughter dance, mother son dance and a contest for the longest couple married being over 60 years. The guests sent the couple on their way in their decorated car around 10 p.m.
